ARMAGH IS THE latest county senior final to have been postponed today due to weather conditions.
The football final between Clan na Gael and Clann Eireann has fallen victim of Storm Ashley.
The decision was reached after the conclusion of the intermediate final curtain-raiser, when Carrickcruppen beat Saint Paul’s on a scoreline of 2-9 to 1-11.
During the first game, a scaffolding tower fell behind the Drumarg Terrace end and with conditions deteriorating throughout that spell, the call was made to push the fixture on another week, with the refixture for Saturday with throw in at 6pm.
The Derry hurling final between Slaughtneil and Banagher was also called off earlier in the day and will be played next Saturday.
